Jody Frost

Jody began practicing Pilates training in the 1990’s in Santa Fe, NM with Michelle Larsson, a master teacher who trained for years under the tutelage of Eve Gentry (a Pilates Elder). She came to Pilates due to years of dance injuries and over-use syndrome. Jody continued to study and train with privates until the time she began the process of earning her teaching certification through Turning Point studios in Walnut Creek. Jody has taught Pilates reformer/apparatus group classes and privates as well as mat work at various studios in the bay area over the past 12 yrs. She took a hiatus for three years to pursue her vocation in photography which she continues to practice. Jody's teaching style, while adhering to Joseph Pilates principals of centering, precision concentration, breathe, and flowing movement is innovative and playful. She enjoys experimenting with variations on the repertoire to keep it fresh for her students.

Colleen Anderson

Along with Colleen's passion for Pilates, her primary background is in dance. She began dancing at the age of 7 in her parents living room, putting on little shows for them constantly. After convincing them to send her to dance classes she continued to do so until she graduated high school. She then attended San Diego and San Francisco State University as a dance major with a minor in Dance Medicine. In 2004, she became a principal dancer with a world touring dance company and toured seven months out of the year for over 12 years. Within those years she performed and taught workshops in over 20 countries. After falling in love with Pilates over 9 years ago, and due to her love and extensive experience in exercise, movement, and kinesiology, Colleen completed her Pilates instructor training at " Pilates Monterey," in Monterey, C.A. She is PMA certified which allows her to lead instruction on all the Pilates apparatuses'. Colleen is a kind and patient instructor with the motivation to help others reach their health and fitness goals.
This class is ideal for new and beginner level Pilates clients on the reformer as well as those who want a less intensive Reformer experience.  The class flows at a slower pace and focuses on learning and practicing the Pilates principles and the Pilates movement principles as well as the basic reformer exercises.
